Founded in 1973 by the late Ms. Josephine Motion, Kilimani Junior Academy has remained a family-managed institution for over 50 years, combining the highest attention to detail with a genuine love for every child.
Set on a beautiful 10-acre campus along Langata South Road, Hardy, our school offers a unique integration between the environment and education. We deliver the Kenyan Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) while upholding the values and work ethic of the traditional system, all with our own warm, family-style twist.
From the Early Years through Primary and into Junior Secondary, we are committed to the development of the whole child — academically, socially, physically and emotionally.

The late Ms. Josephine Motion founded Kilimani Junior Academy in 1973. Her vision of a caring, family-style school built on excellence and grace continues to guide us to this day.
Since then, the Academy has remained a warm, family-led school — run with the highest attention to detail and to the progress of every single child.
Set on ten green acres along Langata South Road in Hardy, Nairobi, Kilimani weaves its natural surroundings into everyday learning, guiding pupils from the early years right through to junior secondary.
We hold to the values of the Kenyan education system, delivered through the CBC — but always with our own unique twist.
